"showing out those party eyes "

"showing out those party eyes"

I've been wanting to test out makeup revolution for such a long time, but i couldn't find a superdrug store that stocked them. Untill i came home to london and the store in located 5 minutes from my house happened to sell them, so i treated my self to 2 of the gift boxes they had.

I am so happy with the items i received within the boxes and after almost a month of testing them out im extremely happy to say THIS BRAND IS INCREDIBLE.

This review is all about the makeup revolution "showing out" eyeshadow pallet, on the back of the gift set this pallete came in it says "the exclusive eyeshadow pallete" so according to my box its a exclusive pallet.
The pallete comes in quite standard packaging which i prefer, if the packaging is too bold it takes your attention away from the actual products inside.
The packaging is a black plastic container, a see through lid and the writing "make up revolution" in gold.

yes the packaging is dirty I like to test products
before reviewing and I'm not a photo hoarder
Within the packaging you have a double sided eyeshadow brush with 2 pads on either side, the brush is also black and contains the writing makeup revolution in gold.

You have 12 eye shadow within the packaging, the colours are absolutely stunning and incredibly pigmented.

Most of the eyeshadows are crazily pigmented, but a few of them are very light and doesn't have much pigment within, so when applying you hace to use a bit more then normal to make it noticeable.
The colours which are NOT very pigmented are white, off white baby pink, baby pink, and metallic silver. Its only 4 out of the 12 that have low pigmentation.

this pallet is amazing I'm so glad I brought this pallet as my first, my favourite colour in this pallet is the gold its just so pretty and shiny it just looks incredible on with a pair of beautiful false lashes to compliment the colour of eye shadow.

I don't know if anyone else has tried this out but OMG you need to I've fallen in love with this pallet so would you.

Real techniques limited edition

Real techniques
If you follow my Instagram or twitter you would know that my most favourite make up brushes are the real techniques by Samantha chapman.
these brushes was created by a professional makeup artist who wanted to create affordable, high-end  brushes that you can buy in such stores as boots and Superdrug's.
I for Christmas I got 5 more real techniques brushes I have a huge collection already but I really wanted the limited edition cuts so my dad,
(he was in charge of buying gifts this year due to my mother working)
went and brought me them after searching for while as most dads do not know anything about makeup let alone makeup brushes.
the brushes come in a square black box with a see through lid, within the box there is 5 brushes placed very carefully in a foam square shape, the foam has a array of colours on the box ranging from purple, pink and orange in a few cool patterns.
on the back of the box you have a description of Samantha chapman and what the five brushes in the box do and what ones are the special cuts.

The brushes that come in the box are....

  • duo-fiber face brush: for lightweight application + blending of face powder or pigments
  • cheek brush (set exclusive): evenly applies makeup across cheekbone for a more dramatic finish
  • angled shadow brush (set exclusive): perfectly cut for layering eye shadow in the crease
  • base shadow brush: applies a smooth, flawless foundation of colour
  • eyeliner brush (set exclusive): firm, angled head for optimal control along lash line

  • I haven't used every brush in this collection yet as there so beautiful and I would hate to ruin them (yes I know you buy makeup brushes to use)
the brushes I have used are
    1.eyeliner brush
    2.duo-fiber
    3.blusher brush
these brushes have been amazing and I can't wait to use the rest of them to see how much they make a difference to a everyday makeup routine.
Once my brushes have been used more ill post a review about them.

    make up revolution birthday haul

(warning contains loads of pictures and swatches on my arms, also tattoos)
this is not a review (review to come soon) this is a birthday haul

when I saw a few reviews on make-up revolution I thought this make up brand looks amazing and I decided to get my little bum down to Superdrug and have a look at there awesome collection, when i went to Superdrug though it was actually a lot harder then I thought to get a hold of the product as not every Superdrug store actually stocks the brand.

after i visted about 5 different stores i finally found 2 stores that stock Make-up revolution, YES YES i know i could of ordered them online and picked them up in store or even had them delivered, but im the type of person (when trying a new brand) who likes to look and actually decided if i like the colour as things online always look different in person.

    the items i brought are
box set #1 contour kit £10.00
when I saw the box set #1 contour kit I knew I had to have it this kit is amazing in every way, I've always had great difficulty finding a kit that works great for my skin type, when I was in superdrug I had picked up a few makeup brushes and a contouring kit and as it being so close to Christmas I thought i'd go take a look at the box sets they always do at Christmas and I saw this and it just jumped out at me I had heard so much about how good the contour kit was from other peoples reviews and I thought why not its £10.00 you cant go wrong with it.
this kit contains a large bronzer, a little bronzer, blusher, highlighter and a 3 piece brush set.
    (review to come soon)

box set #2 eye set £12.50

when I saw this kit I thought wow 12.50 that is incredibly cheap and looks absolutely beautiful, I was going to be buying the eye shadow pallet anyway as I heard there a good company for dupe eye shadow of larger more expensive brands. (other peoples views) and when I saw the kit it was a lot better value for money buying the kit rather then buying everything separately and from what I can see from the swatches I've done the eye shadow is incredibly pigmented which is great as you always what your eye shadow on show, also the lip gloss is beautifully bright and shinny.
this kit contains  a black liquid eyeliner, a pencil liner, a glitter eyeliner, a mirror, 3 lip gloss, 3 nail polishes and a 12 shade eye shadow palate and also a contour pallet 3 piece (same as above picture) .

cover and conceal palette shade light £6.00
a friend of mine brought the cover and conceal pallet and she absolutely adored it, she suggested it to me as I suffer with terrible bags under my eyes and have always struggled to be able to cover them
up, i've used this once and I can happily say WOW it worked incredibly.
    light pallet containing 6 concealers.

lipstick shades the one and vamp £1.00 each
I saw these 2 lipsticks and loved the colours they are adorable and perfect for the winter months.
