Botanics by boots

Botanics by boots

As everyone knows big brands such as boots, Superdrugs, Sainsbury's, Tesco etc. All have something called in house branding, this is were the company create their own formula of something and sell it cheaper. etc. Tescos finest tea bags  and Superdrug have B.beauty which is a own brand makeup range which is amazing I must say you can see my B.beauty gel liner review here.

Recently I needed a make up remover and unfortunately boots store didn't have the one i normal use which is the gairner makeup remover shake to wake, so I decided I'd try out a new one and see it it turned out, the first isle I came to in the boots store was one which had there own brand products on, and I was pulled in due to the beautiful colourful packaging.

I brought the eye soothing make-up remover after about a bout 20 minutes of deciding what I wanted to try as there is loads of different things to choose from but you need to find the right skin care products for your skin type and I have chosen the pink range.

On the botanic bottle and the boots website there is a brief description on what the product does, this is always a plus as you need to know what the product is formulated of so you can choose the best type for you're skin.

" The clear oil phase effectively sweeps away impurities and make up, including waterproof formulations"

Like any product there are always pros and cons and you can't really tell what they are from reading a post you need to test for your self. So here are my pros and cons (not a lot of cons)

Pros:
Gives a beautiful soothing and soft finish.
removes all make up
Can be used all over face
packaging is a beautiful colour and size
price is great 1.99 (sale) 2.99 normal price
a range of items to work along side with.

Cons:
Leaves face feeling too oily
comes out of the bottle too fast

Key tip with this product only apply a small amount as there isn't a pump it just slides right out the bottle and makes the pad very wet and greasy this cause the make up to spread around your face instead of being removed.

Mini Lipstick haul

The lipstick haul

Its no surprise that like most girls I'm addicted to lipstick. i own alot and will never stop loving it, to me lipstick isn't just another peice of makeup it's a statement it can show off plenty of differences in personalits and different sides to a person 'e.g' nice, naughty, flirty, smart.

recently I've been on the hunt for the mac Kylie jenner lipstick 'as seen below', but i am not a fan of the mac lipsticks don't get me wrong mac is incredible but I prefer matte lipsticks that will last at least 7 hours and i find that mac on me personally either smudges off or wares off.

here are the lipsticks I've picked up looking for the perfect kylie jenner dupe
and some was just too lovely to say no to you can never own to many lipsticks.
(Brief explanation below)

Lipstick one//mua//peachy keen
Lipstick two//mua
For ťhose who don't know MUA or make up academy is a super cheap make up brand sold in superdrug only, the prices for this vary, these lipsticks was one pound each,  fir a pound you dont expect much but i can honestly say  these are a true matte finish make up brand.

Lipstick three//revolution//the one
Makeup revolution is a new make up brand only recently been sold in superdrugs in a few of the stores, for a while i thought they only sold eye shadow but when i went and had a look i found out the also sell other makeup products such as this beautiful matte lipstick.

Lipstick four//barry m//165
Lipstick five//barry m
Barrym has always been a amazing product which I've loved for years, the brand is sold is loads of different places including topshop, boots, superdrug and more.
Recently they redone the formula for the matte lipsticks which was a long awaited change.

Dark to light colour change

Warning heavy picture flow

For this you will need:
1.Bowl or applicator
2.Gloves
3.Bleach
4.Comb
5.Brush to apply colour
6.clips

Recently I've been so confused on which colour i should have my hair.
You see i had brown hair and thought it was amazing but got very bored very fast and after a huge amount of debate with myself and family and friends i decided blonde was the colour for me.

Before i applied the blonde i had a colour on my hair by garnier which was a 5.0 olia this dye is enriched with oils so it leaves your hair silky and shiny also very smoothed and nourished, but as this colour doesn't use ammonia this means the colour will be a lot harder to remove as it contains a deep agent to get hold of the hair, so i had to pick a perfect bleach that i new from experience would lift the colour molecules out and not need 5 or 6 bleaches,  so this Is where my favourite of all the bleaching products about which is wait for itttttt......  XXL LIVE ULTRA BLONDE.

now most people wouldn't actually use this bleach to strip the colour out as some people have had horrible experiences with it,  but I've. Never found a problem during using this or after use, my hair still feels healthy and luscious. I am now going to show you the key steps in needing to get your hair blonde.
(This is not a professional opinion, this is my way)

Step 1. Depending on the type of dye you have decided to use at home it's time to mix the peroxide and powder together.
If you've decided to use box dye from the supermarkets or drugstores follow the images on the box and instructions given.
if you've gone to a hairdressing supply's store and brought the colour you are best starting off with a smaller proportion of colour say 40g by 40g this will best keep the rest of the colour fresh and not throw any to waste you can reuse once your roots need doing.

Step 2 sectioning.  When doing a colour change you need to be able to see where the dye is over lapping and over processing at all times or you come up with a uneven colour and being blonde that's never a good idea.
To begin with make a line from the middle of your forehead to the top of your crown then going straight to the nape of your neck (use clips to hold hair) then from the crown take a section touching the top of your ear (pictures below).

(These images do not belong to me purely for examples only source google)

Step 3. After you have created your sectioning pattern you will work with you then begin to take horizontal sections of thin hair so it looks like this. (See image above)

Step 4. Depending. On your hair type you should start from the bottom of your hair to the top doing the roots last as they take a lot faster for example i judged my hair of the colour difference of my hair. for example my ends was almost black and towards the roots was lighter brown so i applied from the bottom up doing my roots last.

Step 5. Once I've. Used all of the bleach and coloured my hair i use the reminder of it and just slap it on my head massaging it in so the hairs all even.
I then set my timer and wait for it to be developed.
(as i used a box dye it took 30 minutes)

While your waiting for your colour to develop please feel free to have a cup of tea and biscuits.

Step 6. Once the timers gone off its time you wash your hair
I don't Need to explain how to wash hair everyone knows that
JUST MAKE SURE TO RINSE UNTILL ALL COLOUR HAS BEEN REMOVED.

Step 7. Now this is done you can see whether The hair needs another bleach and in my case it did so i repeated the steps a few days later so my hair wasn't taking a beating all at once.

                          (My hair after one bleach)

Once i repeated the above steps and saw the colour of my hair after the second bleach i had actually decided it needed one more,  the coulour was incredible after 2 bleaches and i do like that iced yellowish tone, but, it just looked far too yellow for my liking so i rebleached it once more to kick some yellow out of my hair.
(After 2 bleaches, didn't look this orange lighting was bad)

After 2 bleaches my hair still feels incredibly soft and fully nourished It's amazing what the xxl stuff really does do even though you are fully ripping the colour molecules out of the hairs cortex its still protecting it with a smooth shine and healthy finish.

As i had brown hair "as you all know", i knew my hair would take a good few bleaches so all in all i bleached my hair 3 times, i eventually got my hair to a colour which was tonable, here is my finished result.

i haven't yet decided what colour i want to tone it so for now my colour bleaching story is finished.

Savers Argan oil

Recently i went to Kidderminster to get my boyfriend the new lord of the rings shadow of mordor game, to only get to game (after going in tesco) and be told the game had actually been pushed back for release on xbox 360, which tbh is ridiculous as they have realised it on all other consoles but not 360 its the second best selling game so its silly.

As i didn't get the game i wanted i thought I'd buy a few peices that i needed, at the moment in time i needed shampoo, conditioner and  hair dye, so i decided to go into savers and see what they had in store. Of course the store basically just being a huge discount store i had a lot of items to choice from but i was on the hunt for somthing that contained argan oil or some sort of oil as dying my hair it causes damage (it does for everyone).

After a while of looking through these items i found a shampoo and conditioner called aragn oil, and i thought why not give it a chance and see how it is.
Now I'd seen this shampoo a few times in different shops but never thought about giving it a try as i usually just use whatever is brought and in the bathroom, but i thought I'd give this a go. The items itself was crazily stupid cheap it was £1.00 for the shampoo and £1.00 for the conditioner which is crazily cheap considering its argan oil, but i guess thats savers prices. "always saving you money"

I obviously didn't really expect much from this shampoo seeing as it was a pound but i can honeslty say its left my hair feeling beautiful soft and nourished, it gives my hair a beautiful shimmering shine, the packaging to this item is a long tube containing 250ml of shampoo, the tube is brown with green and gold writing this gives the effect of a more expensive product but in reality the price is £1.00.
The conditioner also leaves that beautiful simmer of shine over the top coat of my hair leaving my hair soft and full of norishment.
The packaging for this item is the exact same as the shampoo there a matching pair.

I would highly recommend this product for people who want that argan/morrocan oil feel to the hair, i know most people wouldn't even attempt to touch this item as well its too cheap to be true you wouldn't believe the results, I'd highly recommend this to everyone with dry damaged oily and 3ven normal hair that has never been dyed.  (all hair is damaged due to the environment)

The lipstick tag

I've always been a huge fan of lipsticks and i love buying them, lip sticks are my favourite thing in beauty as you can always change the colour of your lips, pink, blues, purples, reds etc. It can show off a devilish side or a lighter side of you, to me i see lipstick as a accessories not a part of a finished look.

In this post ill be doing my lipstick/lip gloss tag I'll be informing you all about my favourite lipsticks and why i enjoy them and what made me buy them.

Kate moss 110:
I've loved the Kate moss collection since she realised it with rimmel London a while back, now this lipstick is a new lipstick to my collection and i absolutely adore it, i was looking for a orangery, red lipstick that would match perfectly with my skin tone and style.
This lipstick is a matte finish and lasts for up to 6 hours without needing a touch up. (Lipstick needing touch ups to me is based on how much you drink or eat, the smudging of these actions do need touch ups).

Laqa co.uk lip lubes: i won this item from birchbox UK, they have this monthly sort of competition not many people know of, its called birchbloggers they give four lucky winners a special item featured in that months box.
Now this item is a massive. Part of me now as I've found it to be beautiful, it smells incredible (like peppermint), its very moisturising and also the colour is a beautiful light purple.

Barry m: Barry m hasn't really been a favourite of mine I've usually found that the lipstick rubs off to fast and smudges like crazy  but recently i decided to give it another go and i really needed a pink lipstick so i brought one, i brought this as i heard they had a new formula created due to complaints.
This lipstick is by far better then all the others i tried, this lipstick stays perfectly in place for around about 6 hours (that's what I've observed anyway) like all lipsticks it rubs off when you eat or drink but it only takes the excess lipstick off and leaves the foundation layer perfectly intact .

Kate moss: yes another Kate moss has to be mentioned i absolutely adore this lipstick as

it is always very hard to find a red lipstick that matches my skin tone as with my skin i have a slight yellow tone to it, this lipstick was the first one i tried out of the Kate moss collection after being recommend by one of my friends Alaina she also has a blog her self over at (  http://alainabywater.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/fantastic-four-lipsticks.html   ) there isn't really much to say about this as I've said a lot about the KM collection on my first lipstick, but i will say with this collection there are tones of red for every skin tone it just takes patients to find the best one for you.

Baby lips pink: as far as lip gloss or lip balm goes I've never been as fan,  as i find they just do not stay on your lips no matter what you usually have to apply and reapply quite a lot, but when baby lips was recently released by maybeline  new York there was a massive hype about it so i decided to give it a try, this lip balm is very moisturising and nourishing for your lips,  they feel smooth and nice for about 2 hours (they say 12 but i never trust a packaging as everyone is different).

Those are my 4 must have favourite lipsticks that i believe are incredible and are my must have favourites.

Georgia i now nominate you to do the lipstick tag
